D900 Cube is declared a winner in the Melbourne Design Awards!

15th September 2012

The winners of this year's Melbourne Design Awards were announced last night, with our D900 Cube taking out the trophy in the Product Design - Lighting category! Alexander, Simon and Raf from our team were on hand to accept the award at the ceremony last night, and as you can see from the photo above, they were pretty chuffed about it.

We're really proud of our D900 Cube, which was launched last year as the world's first square LED downlight with a square beam. Sustainability was a core objective of this product, which was achieved successfully - at the end of its product life, the D900 Cube will have saved 2590 kilowatts of energy when compared to halogens. You can read more about the D900 and its sustainability here.

Congratulations to all the winners of the Melbourne Design Awards 2012. For the full list, click here.
