We’ve hit double figures!

Thanks to Light Up Kenya, ten homes have been lit up in a rural area of the country that lies between the Maasai Mara National Reserve, on the Kenyan border with Tanzania, and the Naboisho Conservancy.
One of the key benefits of the new lighting highlighted by families was looking after their own animals, such as flocks of sheep, while defending them and their properties from other animals who roam the area at night.
You can find out more about each family, their members and their occupation by visiting our interactive map on the Light Up Kenya page—just click on an image in the gallery to jump straight to that family’s map pin.
